A tale of the Park

Sara is a kinesthetic creation from Temporary Culture for the Sara D. Roosevelt park in New York City. Located at the junction between ChinaTown and Lower East Side, Sara emphasizes the verve of an intense neighborhood.

Sara springs to life whenever activities happen in the park. When a group plays, Sara shines, highlighting the gathering and providing a renewed sense of showmanship to players and spectators alike. It is a contribution to the dialogue about being together.
Sara embraces ideas from the community as it is meant to include diverse patterns and textures. Sara’s shines can be remodeled by the community making it an ever changing piece. It is a stance regarding ownership without exclusivity, safety without surveillance.

We are proud to partner with the Department of Parks and Recreation of NYC to produce Sara.

We are preparing for its release this year. Stay tuned…
